Marta Fajardo
marta.fajardo@tecnico.ulisboa.pt
Associate Professor at the Physics Department of IST since April 2022. Marta is a researcher at GoLP since 2007. Her research focuses on X-ray lasers, ultrafast diagnostics, and high harmonic generation with imaging applications. She leads the development of new diagnostics for warm dense matter and novel imaging techniques with biological applications.

Gareth Williams
gareth.williams@tecnico.ulisboa.pt
Postdoctoral researcher at IPFN's Group for Lasers and Plasmas. He obtained his PhD in laser plasmas from the National University of Ireland, Galway. His interests include X-ray laser heated warm dense matter, high harmonic generation, and ultrafast (atto-second) holographic imaging.

Lucas Ansia
lucas.ansia.fernandez@tecnico.ulisboa.pt
PhD student from Ourense, Galicia. He holds a Master's in Nuclear Science and Technology from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, where he developed hydrodynamic codes. Now at VOXEL, Lucas works on modeling X-ray driven solid-density plasmas under the supervision of Marta Fajardo and Gareth Williams.

Matilde Fernandes
matilde.fernandes@tecnico.ulisboa.pt
Master's student in Technological Physics Engineering at IST, conducting thesis research with VOXEL Laboratory at GoLP on Incoherent Diffraction Imaging (IDI) with hard X-rays. Since 2023, she has contributed to VOXEL projects during her academic journey, including automating a high-power laser and working on IDI with a pseudo-thermal light source.
Associate Researchers

Pablo Claveria
pablo.san.miguel.claveria@tecnico.ulisboa.pt
Pablo San Miguel is a MSCA-funded Fellow at IPFN, IST. He completed his PhD at LOA (France) in collaboration with SLAC National Laboratory. His research combines experiments in high power laser facilities as well as advanced numerical modelling of kinetic plasma dynamics. Within the VOXEL team, he is an active contributor to research projects exploring spatiotemporal couplings to optimise laser-matter interaction performance.
